1. Introduction

These Terms of Service set out the terms and conditions under which Purpose Driven Youth (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides youth mentoring and tutoring services to clients (“you”, “your”), including parents, carers, guardians, and commissioning organisations such as schools or local authorities.

By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Our Services

Purpose Driven Youth offers:

  • One-to-one or group tutoring sessions

  • Personal mentoring and coaching programmes

  • Online and in-person delivery

  • Enrichment workshops and events

  • Support tailored to young people aged [11 to 25]

All sessions are delivered by qualified and vetted mentors and tutors who share our values of education, empowerment, and safeguarding.

3. Safeguarding and Child Protection

We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of all children and young people we work with. All staff and associates:

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS check

  • Receive regular safeguarding training

  • Abide by our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy

  • Follow strict professional conduct standards

Parents/guardians must ensure that a responsible adult is present in the home during online sessions unless otherwise agreed.

4. Booking and Scheduling

  • Sessions must be booked in advance and confirmed by email or agreed booking system

  • You will receive confirmation of the tutor/mentor, date, time, and location (or platform link)

  • Sessions are typically [60 minutes] unless otherwise agreed

  • Group sessions are scheduled in advance and may not be rescheduled once confirmed

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

By the Client (Parent/Guardian/School):

  • More than 24 hours' notice: Session may be rescheduled with no penalty

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: Full session fee is chargeable unless in exceptional circumstances

  • No-show: Full session fee applies

By Purpose Driven Youth:

  • If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will give as much notice as possible

  • Any missed sessions will be rescheduled at no additional cost

  • In the rare event of tutor illness or emergency, a suitable replacement or alternative date will be offered

6. Fees and Payment

  • Fees are agreed in advance and confirmed in writing

  • Payment is due in accordance with the invoice terms (usually within 7 days unless otherwise agreed)

  • Payment can be made via bank transfer or any other agreed method

  • Late payments may result in suspension of sessions until the balance is cleared

  • We reserve the right to apply late payment charges in line with statutory guidance

7. Online Sessions

For all online sessions:

  • Only approved, secure platforms will be used

  • Sessions must be conducted in a quiet and appropriate environment

  • No personal contact details should be exchanged

  • Sessions may be monitored or recorded for safeguarding and quality assurance (with consent)

Parents/carers must inform us immediately of any safeguarding, technical, or behavioural concerns during online delivery.

8. Expectations of Young People

We expect all students to:

  • Engage positively and respectfully with their mentor or tutor

  • Attend sessions on time and prepared

  • Follow reasonable instructions and boundaries

  • Avoid inappropriate behaviour, language, or disruption

If a young person’s behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others, we reserve the right to pause or terminate sessions in consultation with the parent/carer.

9. Data Protection and Confidentiality

Purpose Driven Youth complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • Personal data will only be used for the delivery and administration of our services

  • Information will not be shared with third parties without consent, unless required by law or safeguarding obligations

  • All records are stored securely and handled with confidentiality

10. Liability

  • We accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from misuse of the services or failure to follow our guidance

  • While every effort is made to ensure high-quality service, academic progress and outcomes cannot be guaranteed

  • We are not liable for interruptions or issues caused by factors outside our control (e.g. internet outages, acts of nature)

11. Termination of Services

You or we may terminate services with 7 days’ written notice unless otherwise agreed.

We reserve the right to end services immediately if:

  • Safeguarding concerns arise

  • Fees remain unpaid after multiple reminders

  • Repeated breaches of this agreement occur

  • The relationship becomes unworkable or unsafe for either party

12. Complaints Procedure

We are committed to providing a high-quality service. If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service:

  1. Raise the issue informally with the tutor/mentor or designated contact

  2. If unresolved, submit a written complaint to the Director

  3. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 10 working days

13. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms of Service to reflect changes in legal, operational, or organisational requirements. You will be notified of any significant changes in writing.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
